Cerebral palsy is lifelong. So is the potential to improve movement, function, and independence.

Cerebral palsy rehabilitation at Cerebron supports children and adults at every stage, improving movement, posture, and daily function through expert, individualised therapy led personally by Dr. Shikha, an MPT in Neurological Sciences.

Understanding the condition

What cerebral palsy is, and what therapy can do.

Cerebral palsy is a group of lifelong conditions that affect movement, posture, and muscle coordination. It is caused by damage to the developing brain, usually before, during, or shortly after birth.

Cerebral palsy affects every individual differently. Some people have mild effects in one limb; others have more involved challenges across the body. It may involve muscle tightness, weakness, involuntary movement, or difficulty with balance and coordination.

Cerebron's role is to maximise what is possible, through individualised therapy that meets the patient where they are, whether a young child or an adult living with CP.

Signs & symptoms we address

The challenges we help patients work through.

Cerebral palsy varies widely. We assess each patient individually and treat what matters most for them.

01

Muscle tightness (spasticity)

Stiff, tight muscles that limit movement and can affect posture over time.

02

Muscle weakness

Reduced strength affecting movement, stability, and daily activity.

03

Balance & coordination

Difficulty with stable, controlled, and coordinated movement.

04

Posture & alignment

Postural challenges that benefit from active, ongoing management.

05

Walking & mobility

Altered gait and mobility patterns, addressed through targeted therapy.

06

Hand & fine motor function

Difficulty with grip and fine movement, where the hand is involved.

Care is coordinated with paediatricians, neurologists, and other specialists where needed, so therapy stays integrated across the team.

A pause. Then the work begins.

Recovery is Hard.Regret is Harder.

How Cerebron treats it

Our approach to cerebral palsy care.

Cerebral palsy care is a long-term partnership, not a fixed course of treatment.

  • 01

    Individual assessment first

Dr. Shikha evaluates movement, tone, posture, and function, and, for children, developmental stage, to build a plan matched to the individual.

  • 02

    Function and prevention together

Therapy works to improve function while also preventing the secondary effects, tightening, stiffness, postural change, that CP can cause without intervention.

  • 03

    Therapy that fits the patient

For children, sessions are engaging and play-based. For adults, therapy targets maintenance, function, and independence. The method fits the person.

  • 04

    Family at the centre

Cerebral palsy care continues every day at home. We train families thoroughly so therapy extends well beyond the clinic.

FAQ

The questions cerebral palsy families ask most.

If yours isn't here, send a message, Dr. Shikha's team replies personally, usually within one working day.

Cerebral palsy cannot be cured, the underlying brain difference is permanent. But therapy makes a real, lasting difference: it improves function, protects against secondary complications, and in many cases meaningfully increases independence. The earlier and more consistent the therapy, the greater the benefit.
No, early intervention is one of the most valuable things you can do. A young child's nervous system is highly adaptable, and early therapy supports development at the stage it matters most. We assess and work with children from a very young age.
No. While early therapy has particular advantages, function can be improved and protected at any age. Adults with CP benefit significantly from therapy focused on maintenance, mobility, and independence.
Cerebral palsy is a neurological condition that needs specialist understanding of tone, movement, and development. Cerebron is led by an MPT in Neurological Sciences, with therapy individually designed and technology used where it genuinely helps.
Children's sessions are designed to be engaging and play-based, therapy that feels like play, while being structured clinical work underneath. Most children respond well, and engagement itself improves outcomes.
